Not so fun story, if I wasn't vaccinated as a kid...I'd be dead! Yeah. My kid gets his vaccinations and our daycare won't allow you in without them (thank god). I got Pertussis (whooping cough) at 13, it went undiagnosed for 6 months, dr. thought i just had a bad cold/cough. Would have killed me in that time period if I hadn't had the vaccine for it.

and yeah, after working in some 3rd world countries, I gotta say I am glad the USA is so stringent about vaccines, especially in schools.

Yep you nailed it lol.

I had whooping cough back in 2000-2001. I believe I was the first or second case in NJ for it's "resurgence". It's really coming back hard. The dr's couldn't believe i had it.

And it left me with sport induced asthma. Worked thru that mostly these days. 1st Half marathon in april bitches!
